Noah Gottdenker GDS’s campus expansion plans have come with new ideas, opportunities and possibilities. While it has already been decided that the space currently occupied by Safeway will be the site of the new Lower and Middle School campus and the space currently occupied by the former Martens Volvo-Volkswagen dealership will become some form of retail, it has yet to be decided exactly what will fill the retail space. Abigail Alpern Fisch Linde Takes GDS Band to New York Earlier this spring, Georgetown Day High School Jazz students traveled to New York City to experience an unforgettable day of jazz music with visits to different venues throughout the city. This news was met with astonishment from many–and quite a few tears. Henry Schlick When Harold Newton first walked into Georgetown Day School in 1980, the high school, located on MacArthur Boulevard, had nowhere to play its home games. Seven years later a new school with a home field and gym were completed in Tenleytown. And today, 36 years later, he will be leaving the school as one of the most beloved figures in its history.
