Like most high-school students, I wake up most mornings with little time and energy to make a substantial breakfast. However, these blueberry, raspberry and green smoothies pack such a powerful, colorful and nutritional punch that I want to wake up a few minutes early to bring out my blender.
The blueberry superfood smoothie provides a subtle berry flavor and is packed with fresh ingredients to start the day on a healthy note.
The raspberry banana smoothie tastes great and blends to a perfect creamy texture. If you find the raspberry banana smoothie too tart, you can add more dark maple syrup to balance the flavor.
For vegetable lovers, the green smoothie delivers an excellent early morning dose of liquid greens. For those wary of green smoothies, the smoothie’s taste defies expectations. The combination of nutrients, folate and healthy fats are a bonus to this delicious breakfast treat.
