My first stop was Pete’s. As soon as you walk in, the restaurant is inviting, with music and comfortable seating. It’s close to school—no more than a five minute walk. The service was great, and the wait time was only about five minutes. I ordered two slices of pizza for about $7, and they were delicious. Among the local options, Pete’s stood out for its thin crust and New Haven style. Another nice touch is that Pete’s sells pizza by the slice, which is convenient if you don’t want a full pie. Overall, I liked Pete’s and would recommend it.

My next stop was Pizza Boli’s. It was pretty good for the most part but fell short in comparison to Pete’s in multiple categories. The walk from school is great and doesn’t take more than three minutes, making it a great stop for a quick break in the day to get some food. However, the atmosphere was almost nonexistent; the restaurant had little seating and an unappealing interior. The pizza was decent and had a great cheese pull, which certainly boosted its score. As for the price, I could get a full small pizza for just a few dollars more than at Pete’s, but they didn’t sell single slices. The service was fine, but the wait time was a bit below average and took about ten minutes.
Domino’s Pizza:

My third stop was Domino’s. The atmosphere was okay. The restaurant had a decently sized waiting area, but there weren’t any chairs. The walk from school is great and only takes about three to five minutes. The food was good, but I don’t love Domino’s pizza due to the slightly thicker pizza than some alternatives. The price was comparable to Pizza Boli’s; I got a small pizza for about $10. The service was decent, but the wait was a little longer than Pete’s at about ten minutes. Overall, it is a good option if you have a little extra time.

My final stop was Papa John’s, which is a reliable choice for a pizza place with a convenient location and quality food. The walk from school is as good as it gets: you can get there in one to three minutes. When you walk in, the atmosphere is a bit underwhelming due to the lack of indoor seating, but there were no major problems. The pizza was good, and priced similarly to that of Dominos and Pizza Boli’s. Again, I paid about $13 for a small pizza. The service was good, and the wait time was pretty solid as well, totaling slightly over 10 minutes. Overall, Papa John’s is a good option, especially if you’re in a hurry to get back to school!
