In Photos: D.C. Rally Supporting Ukraine

Russian forces invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022—escalating the decades-long Russo-Ukrainian conflict. On Feb. 24, 2024, the organization U.S. Ukrainian Activists—a volunteer group that provides medical aid to Ukrainian hospitals and paramedics—held a rally outside the Lincoln Memorial for people to gather in support of Ukraine. The rally was held to recognize the two-year anniversary of the invasion.

Rally attendees listened to many speakers discuss the war and its impact on Ukranians. One of the speakers was the Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Oksana Markarov.
