The senior run-in, an annual tradition at GDS, took place on Sept. 6 indoors for the first time since 2019. Head of School Russell Shaw’s welcoming remarks for the school year were interrupted by a mock broadcast of senior Andrew Mikhail (who is a Bit managing editor) announcing a “senior tsunami” warning for Tenleytown. After the broadcast ended, the members of the class of 2023 rushed into the Forum with tsunami-themed props in hand. Once they reached the senior corner at the top of the Forum, Student Staff Council president Jacqueline Metzger gave a speech to welcome the high school community back to the building.
